A Word from the Board Chair
Dear Friends,
I'm delighted to be serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Conservation Corps.
The SFCC, I believe, is the most important program dealing with youth at risk in San Francisco. It's the only program I know that is providing job training skills directly to the participants and providing educational opportunities. Both of these key elements are essential if any young person wants to move up in employment in San Francisco.
Following our 20th Anniversary, there are some exciting things happening at the SFCC. The administrative and executive offices of the SFCC have moved to a new location in the Mission, the Hamm's building located at 1550 Bryant Street to provide more room for program staff and participants at SFCC's Fort Mason location. We have also made some positive changes and additions to our Board of Directors, which you can see on the back of this page.
I want to thank all of our supporters this past year, as well as our supporters over the last 20 years, and I look forward to the Corps' continued growth and success in the years to come.
Best regards,
Mark Buell
