SFCC Awarded $50,000 Grant! January 10, 2011

The SFCC is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant from The San Francisco Foundation in the amount of $50,000 to be put toward our green jobs enterprise and job training!

Mission Serve Event for Veterans Day! November 11, 2010

Mission Serve and The Presidio Trust gathered veterans and members of Conservation Corps from all over California for a Day of Service in the Presidio. SFCC Corpsmembers worked with others on Habitat Restoration, Garden Restoration, and Forest Stewardship Projects.

SFCC Spring Appeal! May 15, 2010

The SFCC recently sent out a spring appeal letter featuring the success story of Janaye Adams. Janaye is now working as a Junior Solar Analyst for Luminalt Energy Corporation and will be speaking at the SFCC Logo Launch event at City Hall.

It’s our 25th Anniversary! September 2008 (continuing through 2009!)

We’re celebrating our 25th anniversary this year and kicked off the celebrations with an event on September 4th at San Francisco’s City Hall.

The ceremony honored SFCC co-founder Senator Dianne Feinstein and featured the Honorable Willie L. Brown, Jr.; Assemblyman Mark Leno; Jared Blumenfeld, director of San Francisco’s Department of the Environment; and James Molinari, State Director, Office of Senator Dianne Feinstein.

More than 180 people attended, and the event raised more than $110,000 for the programs at SFCC! If you missed the opportunity to donate at the event, please contact our development coordinator.
